KAMAICHA

One of the oldest bowed instruments in the world, carved from a single piece of seasoned mango wood with a round belly covered in goat parchment. Played exclusively by Manganiyar masters using a heavy horsehair bow strung with bronze bells.

Strings: 3 main gut strings + 14 sympathetic steel resonance strings.

THE VOICE OF A HUNDRED COLORS

SINDHI SARANGI

The hallmark instrument of the Langa community. Handcrafted with 29 strings, its soulful tone is considered the closest acoustic match to the human singing voice, capable of producing delicate glissandos and rich ornamentation.

Meaning "hand rhythm" (*Kara-Tala*), Khartal consists of four smooth blocks of polished Sheesham or teak wood held in pairs between the fingers. Master percussionists create lightning-fast polyrhythmic patterns mimicking galloping horses and rainfall.
